What Fable Are You?

You got: The Tortoise And The Hare

In a race, the hare sprints out to a giant lead, but then takes a nap while the tortoise steadily makes his way to the finish line and wins. Like the tortoise, you know the value of hard work and you never stop until you reach your goal. You always keep moving forward!

You got: The Boy Who Cried Wolf

In this fable, a boy jokes about a wolf in the field, so no one helps him when the real wolf shows up. You’re smarter than that boy because you know the power of honesty. People know they can trust you, which is why your relationships with your friends and family are so strong.

You got: The Wolf In Sheep’s Clothing

This is one of Aesop’s more gruesome tales because in many tellings, the wolf, who is disguised as a sheep, gets away with eating some members of the flock and never gets his comeuppance. You are smarter than the shepherd and his sheep because you know enough to look past the surface of people. You know that it’s what’s inside that counts, which is why you are a great judge of character.

You got: The Ant And The Grasshopper

In this fable, a grasshopper is living his life like a non-stop party, while the ants work hard to prepare for winter. Guess who survives the season? Like the ants, you are always prepared, which is why you’re successful and a survivor. Keep up the hard work!

You got: The Fox And The Crow

In this fable, a crow snags a piece of cheese and then sits in a tree. A fox comes along and flatters the crow, asking it to sing its beautiful song. When the crow opens its beak to sing, the cheese falls out and the fox runs away with its prize. Unlike the crow, you are smart enough to look past empty flattery. You’re hard to fool, and that’s what helps make you successful.

You got: The Lion And The Mouse

In this fable, a mouse finds a lion asleep, and starts bouncing all over the lion like he’s a giant playground. The lion wakes up and catches the mouse, but lets him go after the mouse promises he will help the lion one day. Later, the mouse rescues the lion from a hunter’s snare. Like the characters in the story, you know that if you have your friends’ backs, they will have yours. It’s this mutual trust that makes your friendships so strong.

You got: The Goose With The Golden Eggs

In this fable, a couple has a goose that lays one golden egg each day. But they get greedy, and cut the bird open to get all the eggs at once. But they only find one egg, because this magical bird apparently has a normal reproductive system. You have a pretty good life, and unlike the couple, you are wise enough to appreciate what you have. So keep on smiling and enjoying life!

You got: The Dog And His Reflection

In this fable, a dog has a bone in his mouth and sees his reflection in the water. He mistakes it for another dog, and tries to grab that bone, too. In the process, he drops the bone he already has and is left with a wet head and no bones. Unlike the dog, you appreciate the things you already have. And you would never try to steal from others. You are a content, good individual, which is why everyone likes you!

You got: The Fox And The Grapes

In this fable, a fox tries and tries to reach a succulent bunch of grapes, but they are just out of his reach. He gives up and walks away thinking, “They were probably sour, anyway.” Unlike the fox, you know that reaching the good things in life isn’t always easy. You’re willing to put in the extra effort to get what you want. When you put your heart and mind into something, there’s no telling what you can accomplish!
